Bad Day at Work
We all have had that one day at work where something happens that was so bad it's almost comical. I remember when I was bus boy and I had dumped an entire tray of water on a customer's lap or go out the wrong door of the kitchen slamming it into a waiter full of plates that was knocked to the floor and covered in food. Being Tik Tok Thursday, I found this bit of workplace disaster something I could relate to:

I was talking to a customer and one of the waitresses I worked with trip over my foot and went flying
We all have been here, gonna go back 30 years ago when i was working in the kitchen. We had inspection day & i didn't see inspector & well she had cold spaghetti sauce all over her by the time it happened. She called me so many rude names & i apologized but she wasn't having it! Again with her words of cussing me out! She had a very bad potty mouth this day. I offered to take care of her outfit & all but she wasn't having it than when she called me a bastard!! I calmly walked in refrigerator & picked up left over beef broth an poured it over her head! She stormed out the back door & i told her drive safe! Now was i fired no i wasn't fired? I thought i was going to get fired but they put it down as a accidental fall. I worked or that company for 10 years
I was feeding a 275 pound sea turtle while my boss explained to some school children how they don't bite people. Yep he bit me and I shoved my bleeding hand in my pocket so I would not freak out the kids. That was the longest time,before I could run to go the kitchen area where I treated my hand. All they had was iodine which hurt worse than the bite. I always tell people now if it can eat, it can bite!Fun times at the zoo,Ford
Sometimes you have days where you wish you had stayed in bed. I have had days like that. However, no matter how bad, now I can look back and laugh.
Oh no, I hope the customer wasn't upset by this! At least it was only a few bottles, and not the entire stack? Trying to look at the positives haha.
I have definitely dropped an entire tray of both food and drinks before, @Heath Alva - life seems to move in slow-mo as it's going down 🤦♀️
One time I worked at a high-end restaurant that offered a sushi bar, and one of our sidework duties was to clean + refill the soy sauce containers. One afternoon, I was taking one of the buckets down from a high shelf and I underestimated the weight of the container, and slipped off the step stool. I COVERED myself head to toe in 5 gallons of Kikkoman :) I had to bartend the rest of the night smelling like a stir-fry. It was awful.
Don’t remember any accidents right now, maybe later.
