I think history is going to judge this whole thing pretty harshly. $1000 doesn't make anything right, but it will buy them some votes. What about all the restaurants and other businesses that will never re-open? What about the trillions of dollars in damage done to the economy by shutting everything down? And where is all this money going to come from that they plan to give away?
