How would you answer this common interview question? What is your greatest failure and what did you learn from it?

I failed to prevent employees working for me from being laid off due to government budget constraints. I learned that sometimes things happen outside of your control and to be proactive in communicating to my team that it is in their best interest to always ensure their resume is up to date, Linkedin profile etc. in the event of the unexpected.

Not sticking with a job

I'm looking for something part time

My greatest failure was starting so late to find my purpose and fulfill it. I have learned that I can’t be acceptant to just anything but knowledgeable as to what to accept.

Its a trap you never highlight failure! Only failure is succeeding too much to where it took away from personal life

not knowing what to interview about came a great upset in over

Understanding other peoples problems and how they effect their lives day to day. I have learned that being more sincitive to others and their feelings can be positive for others as well as for me.

We’re do I start! ? Oh my God these employers will use anything to keep a position for someone that they want to have it. I am in a position that I created and established. However, now everyone see me doing the job and feels as they an do it also. With my expertise and knowledge, they feels as if they can do my job in a day what has taken me 37 years to do.

Well said Claudette. I feel the same way.
My greatest failure has been in neglecting my mental health and my family time over trying to please some manager or meet some ridiculous unattainable "metrics" for a corporate machine that cares nothing about me, my mental health OR my family, all they cared about was the almighty dollar. Never again.
