Should companies be required to give a minimum amount of paid time off just like they are required to pay a minimum wage?

pay time off goes with accountable sick time as well as vacation time. It's yours use it. Also, do your research for online jobs, very tricky thing in job searching. Check out Consumers Affairs. Make sure they a legitable. In other words make sure the company exist

I think "time off" yes. But, I am not sure about "paid time off". These small companies can not afford to pay employees for not being at work. I do see the employee side though, and as a mom what do you do when your kid is sick? But, just like the scam of insurance we need to bring back personally responsibility and the need to save! It's not anyone else's responsibility to "take care of you". Be responsible, save your money, and you will be better off. Keep ownership of your own future, otherwise you are dependent on the employer.

Researching the companies for legitimacy doesn’t always protect you, as I found out last fall. I was hired by a clone of an hr manager for a clone of a real company. They sent me real “new hire” paperwork, etc., and they were all real company documents. These people broke into companies files and truly cloned them. What they achieved was stealing my identity and I was out a new job. Always talk to people and try to meet in person.

there should be a minimum time off. This cannot last for ever. Employers need their people to work on the day to work, most will ask if you can work overtime and too ask another employee can they which days off to accommodate each other in agency of a situation.

You mean people that have small business, which are people that own their own business. Not companies, they must pay for time off for vacation and sick time. What do you mean by Clone, is this and outside company with another company hacked situation. Please if anyone run into a situation like this check with the Consumers Bureau of United States. to make sure it's a legible company. That way you will not run into difficulty about your money in the future. SSA. What is it you do, explain what you are good at. I see your love of animals especially dogs. Try a dog shop Manager. That's where your love is. Self explanatory, If you need to make $30 and hour. Who are you directing your question too? I cannot understand the question way off balance.
