I have a couple of job interviews next week. Any suggestions on the questions I should ask and how to answer the one question an interviewer always ask: What are your faults? Please help!

They are more likely going to ask that question as, "What is your greatest weakness"? They are trying to figure out if your weakness would make it difficult for you to do that job. And we all have at least one. Don't say that you don't have any weaknesses. I would respond with the truth but choose a real weakness that does not damage your potential for the position but also does not come across as dishonest, unrealistic, or staged. Once you state this weakness, you must cleverly turn it around that you have learned to overcome this weakness by, and state how you overcame it and turned it into a strength. Good luck!

Congrats on completing your Bachelors degree last Dec. Resume looks good too. Good luck on your interviews.

Hi Caroline, It's awesome that you have some interviews lined up! I looked at your profile and it is terrific - I'm sure you'll present yourself really well. :) As for questions... make sure to check out the employer's website so you have a good idea what their business is/who their customers are/how they market themselves. Then you can ask about your interviewer (why did they choose the company? what do they like best? what makes someone successful in their company's culture?) and ask more about the business (who are the biggest competitors? what makes this company a great choice compared to it's competitors?). Faults? I personally detest this question and never ask it. If you do get asked, then give an authentic answer while also acknowledging what you've done to fix it. (Example, "I tend to get immersed in what I'm doing, so I've learned to set a timer on my watch to make sure I get up and move around. This helps me re-focus and I get to see my colleagues more!")
Good luck ~ and remember that the company & interviewer(s) WANT YOU TO DO WELL!!! (I think candidates forget this.) Let us know how it goes, ok?
Best, Marijoy
Hello Caroline, I thinks it's awesome that you're preparing for the interview. Winging it is not a good idea. This is a tough question to answer but my first suggestion is, Don't Deny having Weaknesses. Even Superman has a weakness (Kryptonite). Think of something about your workplace personality that you’ve identified and would like to change. Could be that you're too shy or impatient. Make sure you have a workable action plan ready to explain in detail the things you're doing to overcome the weakness. Best of luck with the interview and make sure you let me know when your start date is so we can celebrate.
