What you may not know about Dollar Tree employee hours?
An insider told me that new in-store employees only get 15 to 25 hours working at the Dollar Tree - only the managers work full-time. Has anyone else heard this?

I called out sick with the flu. I was told the store manager took me off for the following day too. Is this normal??
Yes im a merchandising manager at dollar tree and only managers get 40 hrs all other employees are part time they get anywhere from 15-25 hrs a week but you can always tell your store manager to call you if someone calls out i know at my store we constantly are having people call out or no call no show. Also its very easy to move up in the company if you let your store manager know you want to become a manager and you show the work ethic and come in for your shifts and take that initiative and step up in your roll, i guarantee you can move up fast i moved up from cashier to merch manager in a month.
