I M just about Exhausted, I lost my job at the start of the covid 19 pandemic. Where I feel like it was unfair, unemployment has not. This incident started on 3/13/2020 my off day. My job had several important meetings that day. My co worker called me to come up there. It was not for the teams meeting. Again I was off that day. 3/13/2020 now after being told I was on team A by a seasonal. I called My boss and he then told me that I was on team B. With all due respect my entire vehicle division did not know the what and why the teams were being formed. We were all told when we had to be there nothing further. On any other day of my employment we were allowed to come on property visit for any reason. . On 3/13/2020 my girlfriend was told she was on team A. She tried to get switched for a ride. But they told her no(her direct management saying they sent the names to corporate.03/16/2020 she came to work and I dropped her off. So they let me on property and I dropped her off. Nothing was said to me at all. Now that same day other full time that were on team b came up there to tell there staff something .told me he was going up there. So again My boss never told me the important reason for the teams being made) I felt like ok this is no big deal. So 3/18/2020 before noon I call Co worker he tells me he can’t find the key so I tell him I’m bout to come up there. He says ok beacuse he also did not know of the importance of team a and team b. So I get up there a the guard tells me I’m not on the list. I’m like yeah I know I’m not working today I just need to grab some stuff and help lee find a key. We talk back and forth. Finally she lets me in property and says hurray up so my boss don’t get me in trouble. So I really thinking this is just something security was doing. So I went found the key got my things and was trying to leave and my truck would not start. After while I got it working and left. 3/19/2020 my director comes up there mad at me beacuse I came to the job saying I Coppermised the Integrity of the teams. I told him I did not know the importance of the teams. Instead of seeing this insubordination should of been seen as a misunderstanding he immediately told me that this is not over and I here something later. After we spoke And had that conversation. I went to my My boss and said my the director was mad that’s when My boss told me we was not pose to come in contact with the other team. As I turned around I was furious because I felt like this was all one big misunderstanding. I had not be given the entire rules/information on the teams and the importance. I reiterate that. Now later that day my hr director is interviewing me and tells me that I’m being suspended after me explains that I did not get the info. All this was beacuse of the covid 19. 03/30/2020 my hr director calls me and tells me there moving with termination and as I was asking her what was the reason she said coming on property when told not to. She even stated I was there Friday and choose not to come to the meeting. She would not listen to me say I was off that day and was up there for nothing about work. What happen is I was suppose to work Sunday however they closed down so what I believe happen is someone clicked me in on Friday to pay me fo Sunday. So my hr director saw that I was on the clock and did not ask any questions nor did she ask any of the witness anything. I even filed a grievance with my union Stewart and the advise he gave me was that if they denied it that we could file an appeal. But the job told him during the greivence meeting that I was not able to defend myself that beacuse I did not point out want the greivence was about that I can’t go no further. #unemployment #coronavirus
