Michigan PUA HELP
What do I do when im a first time mother with bills due. I applied and was approved for PUA in Michigan, but ive only received just about $1200 no my case is back on hold. No payments recieved since August 31, 2020. I dont know what to do next, I call everyday and check online. Every person Ive talked accept 2 wonderful ladies have all acted like they didnt know anything or like i was bothering them callingg. Ive already sent in all my identification and still nothing even though im still approved and certifying every week, when it does pop up to certify its making me certify for 2 weeks at a time?? Like whats going on? Please help. Please help. I hold degrees and still dont understand the crap thats going on. First position having to rely in the government for help like this. This is beyond ridiculous. Someone explain anything to me please.. #pandemic #benefits
Hey @Jermika Gurley , I'm so sorry to hear you are experiencing all this challenges with your unemployment claims. Michigan, like so many other states, has been struggling with increase in unemployment claims since the COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year.
The Michigan unemployment offices recently opened up in-person appointments recently but the appointment dates are already booked out as you would imagine.
A lot of our members are reporting high success rates with their pending unemployment claims after seeking assistance from their local state representatives. Have you tried contacting the office of Bill Huizenga yet?

I applied for PUA back in April, I received one check, I never got another payment after that, all I do is request like they said but no money. Covid-19 is still on but no money, I don't understand this government, HELP, HELP, HELP
