Transitioning Jobs: Server to ?
There was a time in my work history when I worked heavily in the restaurant industry. I was a busboy, bar back, caterer and server. I found that my time in the industry was great as it provided my fleeting attention span a lot of small activities that kept me moving throughout the work day. I eventually transitioned out of the food service industry and into a professional role around content marketing. I found that the soft skills I gained while working in the food service industry help me transition smoothly into a new field.
Are there any former food service industry pros that were working in the front of the house before the pandemic struck? If so, are you hoping that your restaurant is opening back up or are you looking to transition to a new work opportunity? #jobsearch #foodservices
I've 15 + yrs. BoH from gen. utilities to asst. Both management. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to secure a job. At this point in my life, I'm willing to accept anything I can get. Along with my kitchen experience I also have 10 or so years in the construction industry, from laborer to private contactor. I'm hoping I can transition into a new industry when & if the opportunity arises of course. If you happen to have any leads you're willing to share in open to seeing if I would fit the requirements.
