Question....Should a company give a former employee a second chance if they walked off their job? #SecondChance #Employee #jobsearch

Yes

Yes everyone deserves a second chance

No, emergency should be reported don’t just walk out.

No. I want to assume that we are not talking about an emergency? If the person walked out because she could not take the workload or because of other employees, without finishing the shift, I have to say no, because that shows you that the employee walking out does not care about anybody else but him/herself, leaving coworkers with all the workload, knowing that there are problems with staffing already, is very selfish. It would be different if the employee finishes the shift and tells you he or she is quitting, for this and that reason and leaves, that protect the coworkers and the business, gives you at least a little time to find a replacement. But just walking out, no way!

It depends on the circumstance. We had an employees that had to leave the city to escape an abusive boyfriend. She came back after he moved away and was a great, dependable employee.

NO, Unless there was an emergency. He or she would probably do it again.

Yes

Really depends on the situation, but in almost every case, I would not rehire some one that walked off the job. Every job has stresses and we have to deal with them.

I was given a 2nd chance at Pluckers and I was rehired by the same man who hired me the 1st time. People have things that take place out of their control sometimes. I wish more jobs would consider rehires and investigate. Ask them why. Not everyone walks out because they're lazy. Life is tough. For everybody
The problem with people today is that they care more about themselves than they do about other people. In the real world there are no Second Chances because the world has lost God and does not believe in forgiveness as we were taught stick that in your hat...
