I work in the mortgage industry which is dead right now so I have been applying to other remote jobs. I was texted by someone who claimed to be interested in me for a Data Analyst job for CareSource and wanted to interview on Zoom. It was a text (no camera, voice) interview which asked good questions. I was asked to hold for 15 minutes and they came back with an offer. They then asked me to provide my personal information within the zoom app! I told them this was not safe nor normal and to provide me the CareSource link where I could provide this info. She simply kept giving me the website address where by the way it says interviews are first conducted by a phone call then a face to face. So this was a phishing scam and just have to say if it sounds too good to be true it is! #scams #jobsearch

Something similar happened to me about 2 weeks ago, the company was Menarini group, a pharmaceutical company. I never gave them any personal Info, but they did email me a check from Chase for $2400 for start up expenses. Then I still didn't really question too much until he started being a little pushy about me doing an online deposit, then I drove to Chase bank, showed them, they checked and there was no acct #. Then, I had him. I called him fraud and notified authorities. These people are relentless!

Thank you for passing this info on. I took have been offered a scam job. I have found most every work from home listing has been a scam, in my experience. You have your eyes open, so that is helpful in weeding out the scammers. Good luck in finding the right opportunity.
same happened to me yesterday with a post from this site - guy did a text interview and wanted me to give him my bank log in so they can deposit 5k into my acct so i can buy needed equipment/apps that i get to keep - yeah right. he got nasty and pushy when i wouldnt and offered other ways like they can just send the equipment to me etc. i think the company was alpha premium - be careful out there. these people are relentless. now i have to worry about identity theft, sigh
