Tip No.1: Set Goals

As mentioned in the previous post, job searching can be stressful! And it's easy to feel like you should just throw the towel in. Obviously, the objective of this entire mission is to find a job, but I believe it’s essential to set a series of “mini-goals” along the way to ensure you don’t feel defeated. These goals could be something along the lines of I want to apply to five new jobs per day or I want to network with two new people in my industry.

They could also be something completely unrelated to the job search! For example, I want to go to the gym four times this week. Sure, that’s not going to necessarily help you land the marketing job you’re aiming for, but it will undoubtedly give you a sense of pride and accomplishment!

What are three goals you’re going to set for yourself?

This is such great advice Elyssa Duncan ! A goal tells you where to aim, and it can also tell you where your boundaries should be. If your goal is 10 applications per day, stop there and do something for you once that's done.
