This sounds very interesting! Thanks Lenin Pina

Quick reminder to members planning to attend... is essential to remember that it should be taken just as seriously as an in-person conversation. Just because you aren’t physically at an interview, doesn’t mean it is any less important.

Here are some quick tips to help folks ACE a video interview:

Prepare As with any interview, you should thoroughly research the company! This includes its history, products, achievements, etc. Be prepared to talk about these things during your interview. I love doing a quick Google search of the individuals who will be interviewing me as well, so I have a basic idea of who they are.

Dress to Impress Be sure to look the part! You never know if you’ll have to get up to grab something during the call, so dress as you would for an in-person interview. No PJ bottoms or mismatched slippers, please. :)

Test Your Technology Make sure your audio and webcam work BEFORE you try to hop on the call! Test your speakers, microphone, camera and internet connection before your start time.

Find a Good Setting Choose your location wisely! You’ll want a spot that is quiet and offers minimal visual distractions. Make sure there is enough lighting so that you can be seen on camera. If you’re interviewing at home, please make sure there’s no laundry on the ground, dirty dishes in the background, and make sure pets and children are in a separate area.

Watch Your Talking Speed and Body Language There are sometimes delays with audio technology. Help prevent feedback and glitches by speaking slowly and clearly! Also, body language can show an employer a lot about you. Make sure to sit up straight and pay attention to where you are looking. Look into the camera as much as possible and keep on smiling!

Best of luck to anyone participating, let us know how it goes!
