With many state governments ordering to suspend all sit-down dining services until April 7th (or later) many employers and workers are left with a tremendous amount of uncertainty. My family owns a restaurant and like so many other small business, they can't sustain to keep the staff on payroll during this 3 week period. Fortunately, many states have offered additional resources and changes to their unemployment policies to make it easier and faster for people to apply during this COVID-19 crisis.

If you are impacted by these COVID-19 closures, I highly recommend that you:

• speak to your employer ASAP to confirm what steps you may need to take during this time.
• go to your state government's website for updates on the unemployment enrollment process due to COVID-19
• be patient with one another as we are all working through this uncertain time together
