How would you answer this interview questions: "Tell me about a difficult decision you had to make at work"?

A decision I have to make at work once, was when I worked with Dollar rent a cars reservation centers worldwide help desk in Plantation Florida. It was one where a family with two young children one a toddler in another country, had reserved their car from the USA, and when they got there that location was out of cars and the locations close by also. The family was hungry, and the children were miserable and crying because they were hungry too, and the location did not know what to do because they couldn't find cars for them. I had to speak to the father of the family to calm them down, and assure them that I would guarantee their vehicle, and make them comfortable until we located their vehicle size for them. The first thing I did was have that location move them into a lounge area to make them comfortable, then I found out with each member of the family wanted to eat and I sent out to get them food to make them comfortable while I called around to find a vehicle. Eventually I had to call another rental company there who had the size vehicle to fit the family comfortably during their vacation, and had to negotiate prices and a driver to drive the car to the location where the family was. The family received a very nice vehicle that was clean and comfortable, and we're very grateful and understanding of the issue.

I had to make a difficult decision when a co-worker asked me to sign them in conflicting with company policy I chose to uphold company standards and address the situation professionally which ultimately maintained fairness and integrity within the team.

When one of the underwriters under my supervision called to let me know that she will not be reporting for work because she needs my help to protect her from her abusive husband. I made the decision to help her.

Had to fire co worker

Both of my coworkers are my friends and 1 did something wrong to the other and had to tell the boss what really happened

A customer wasn't happy with the food I served. I told them I would fix them another plate.

Being able to resolve an issue with an irate patient that was told the could not see a Doctor as a same day appointment.

I had to report to an orientation procedure that lasted a week. It was a long distance employment setting in which I was gonna choose to relocate after the orientation succession. On the way I fell and injured myself severely, don’t know if I broke anything, and since than have taken time to self heal. Anyways the whole week I was swollen and in excruciating pain, still attended my orientation succession. And only reason I do not have present employment is due to it being a federal government employment in which set me as a probationary employee and the system at that time dismissed probationary employees, and to my accord I never got a recall. I accept that as a difficult decision because I kind of knew I would be on the list to dismiss and especially since I was injured and my pain was noticeable throughout the decision making staff to keep, as an employee no matter the circumstances.

YESsss
There was confusion between the coworkers & one of them I associated with but the other one made it uncomfortable for me. I reported it to my manager but nothing was done so I went over their head to get my result.
