Looking for a good receptionist Job, and or call center Enviroment.

Waiting to hear after a interview?

When you feel you have NAILED your interview you feel confident you feel you got this, they say you will hear from us by Friday Either way, and i did not hear anything? Is that a bad or good sign? They made me feel like I had the job, talking about training etc , if I was ok working 9-6pm. Ugh I have never wanted a job so bad. Advice? Not to mention I have a good friend that works on the inside and she gave me a amazing reference. I called Friday and left a message with the lady that I interviewed with and did not hear anything , they work from home on fridays so could that have been the issue? It's common for employers to take longer than expected to get back to candidates after an interview, so it's not necessarily a bad sign. Follow up with a polite email or phone call expressing your continued interest and reiterating your qualifications. Don't be pushy or impatient, but demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm. In the meantime, continue your job search with other providers such as Jobcase to ensure that you have other opportunities in the works. Good luck!

They are interviewing other candidates. They did not select you. Thus you will not receive any information from them.

@Jessica Metz, I understand your anxiety and I went through the same thing. I agree with Cynthia and that you need to be careful not to be a pain in the butt! You need to remember that there are probably a lot of people applying for that job. The good news is they wouldn't have discussed training and availability if they work at least interested in keeping you as a candidate. Personal references from someone who works within the company is always a plus. You've done your due diligence by leaving a message based on the date they said they would contact you.

I've been a GM and primary hiring manager and I know that sometimes I just became so busy with unexpected circumstances that I didn't have time to make the call. If they have your email address, be sure to check that in case they use your email to contact you. Continue to apply for other positions just to hedge your bets and wait calmly.

Don't hold your breath. If they were interested, they would have made on offer in stead of putting you off.
