Hello!
I'm a fairly recent graduate from SMU. I am looking for internships/jobs that can give me the chance to get my foot through the door and start my career. Hi Alann, sounds like you are off to an amazing start!! As far as internships go, I would try searching for internship or entry-level positions near you. You could also try "cold emailing" some companies you would be interested in working for!
This sounds a bit daunting, but I had success doing this when I was a college student! Find a contact at the company (preferably in your desired department or HR) and reach out via LinkedIn or email... introduce yourself, your background and express interest in an internship opportunity at their company. Be sure to treat this similarly to a cover letter, free of spelling + grammar errors and keep a professional, friendly tone. Attach a tailored resume and thank them for their time!
