I'm not sure if you can get a job in Daycare at 16. Licensed day cares may require employees be over 18. But you might consider offering babysitting services. Try using word of mouth with your parents. Getting a certification at the Red Cross would be helpful too.
If your 16 yes old, do not limit yourself one bit. Schedule an appointment with your school counselor, go to a job agency, take their tests ask them questions, today's way is sign up with 3 or 4 good job search engines in your area and scan everything. The old school way was pick a street and go door to door. Take pen and paper and write down thoughts names and numbers of who to contact. First thing first have some sort of resume. Even at sixteen you have accomplished something or volunteered somewhere. WALK alert, prepared, Smile, dress business attire. Have fun, stay positive, and every "NO" MEANS YOU ARE ONE STEP FLOWER TO YES.
