Interview Mastery: How would you answer this interview question?
“Can you describe a time when you had to step outside of your comfort zone to take on a new challenge or responsibility? How did you approach the situation?"
Bonus points: What is the employer looking for in your answer?

I was asked to become chief technologist at my former job. There was a lot more responsibility. At first i was hesitant.Didnt know if i could handle it. But i said yes snd things worked out

I always love challenges , applied for a position as Director of Housekeeping for a resort in Daytona Beach, the day I was to be interviewed for job the owner of the company flew in from Tennessee to personally do the interview, at the conclusion he looked me in the eye and said I would like you to be District Manager for the properties in this region, I was speeches, I did a absolutely a great job in the position, I never let it phases. I met all challenges with success.

I myself love challenges. it's what makes things interesting. And when you figgier it out and move forward it's like getting a pat on the back and being told good job. It's the best high you'll ever get.

Jump in with both feet n get it done

The last time I got out of my comfort zone was two years ago; I left for another foreign country looking for new opportunities and realized that it was too hard but not impossible. I heard from Denzel Washington Speach: "To get something you never had you have to do something you never did" and, here I am.

I think Bill was asking what's the employer looking for in your response when asked the question..or did I miss something

Yes why not

It's 9 am and I'm just starting my shift relieving our 3rd shift maintenance tech. I was hired to maintain the facility and ensure that everything was up to code and OSHA standards. I have to make sure that the facility is in good working order and that any potential hazards are addressed. If a hazard is identified, I have to take steps to correct it immediately. Around 9:30 the D.O.N. noticed that she was short staffed and so there was no one available to get the west wing of residents up for breakfast so I had to trade in my gloves for scrubs and change my hat for that day. I learned so much in those few hours that it almost made me want to rethink my occupation but it was a learning experience.
