Good morning, Rhode Islanders!

Just wanted to give a Monday morning shout-out – my name is Jeanette and I’ve been with Jobcase for almost seven years. In that time, I’ve learned a lot about the different journeys people take in their work-life.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is that it’s hard to find work if your basic needs aren’t being met. For that reason, I want to make sure you know about the resources available to help you stay on your feet while you look for that next work opportunity. This link takes you to Jobcase’ Rhode Island unemployment resource page: If you’re in a position right now where you need this type of help, it’s a good place to start.

It’s not the only resource, though. As part of this group, you can ask our Jobcase Community Experts and other Rhode Islanders what resources they know of or have used, now or in the past. It might be advice and encouragement if you’re having trouble navigating the unemployment claim process. It might be the hours and location of a local food bank. It might be how to contact your state representative:

In short, help yourself by helping yourself – portraying your confidence, skills, reliability, and professionalism to your next employer is easier when you and your family’s basic needs are taken care of. This Jobcase family is not just here to help you find that next job. We’re here to provide a platform where you can learn from the knowledge, successes, and even tribulations of others just like you. You got this! #wordsofadvice #motivation #backtoworkri
