It's my 2nd week claiming my unemployment. Instead of the $230 that I got previous on the last check, they only gave me one 110 and on garnishments it said $120. Can anyone answer why my unemployment check would be getting garnished?
Yes they do take it no matter what you owe in addition to your stimulus check. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they do take child support especially if you are on the arrears.
Usually it is Friend of the Court, for child support.

Child support that u didn't respond to so a default judgement was made against u. Or restitution.
Child support maybe (if any kids)
No child support you will still get one
There is a list of allowable deductions of their website
child support, owe the IRS, owe the state tax check with UI and see why? you may have to go to the highest tier to get any answers. good luck and hope this helps
