Know your rights to paid sick leave!
Doesn't matter if Coronavirus impacts you or not, you should know your rights to paid sick leave. If you live in certain cities or states, your employer is required to provide you with paid sick leave. Hey Californians, did you know you are likely entitled to at least one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked? Includes part-time and temporary employees! All you folks in New Jersey get similar rights as well.
Now is a great time to brush up on what you are entitled to.

My job gives no sick pay, no paid vacation... nothing. Is that even legal? I live in Idaho.

Thanks for this info. During this time it's helpful to me considering that I've been on my job 6 years and my boss tells the new employees on my team that my practices are incorrect, therefore isolation occurs often instead of him retraining me. The thing is he's from another location of our company and had only been on the East coast for 2 years So he was trained completely different than I was 6 years ago. So my practices aren't incorrect they're just not what he knows...considering that this corona virus is in full effect at this time I want to call out sick so I don't have to deal with the isolation and discrimination from my team! HR was supposed to come this week (how ironic) but couldn't bcuz of the corona virus. The company has closed their branch and the rest of us are still physically reporting to work putting our lives at risk bcuz we're considered an "essential" business.

BULL SHIT I was point ed out of my job at Dail tile cause I hurt my back on the job I let them know I hurt it on the job I even tried to work 2 days with my back and than I had to go to a work in clinical and thay but out of work. And on the day I went back to work I was let go cause I potent out .and yes I try turning in to the EEOC and I never heard from them. TENNESSEE IS A RIGHT TO WORK STATE.

There is hope for something like that but also with a doctor's note.

Wish us temps and CTH people in Ohio had that right :( as it is, no work, no paycheck.
