Wrongful termination, I'm sure!

I was terminated because I had a scheduled surgery, and my employer did not want to accommodate me recovery time off, post surgery. I live in NJ, and I'm not sure of the state laws when employed in a small company. I was employed there for 25 years. I believe the reason I was let go was, because the office was very much under staffed , and the owner of the company would have had to come up from FL and work my position, and that just wasn't something he didn't want to do. By the way, I found another job 2 days after my termination, and I had my surgery shortly after being hired at the new company. I went in the hospital on a Mon. and out on Wed, and back to work on Thurs. So, my termination was totally wrong. This is what one gets after 25 years of dedicated service, #crappedon

Unjustified Termination

I moved to Lubbock area on September 16th, 2017 for better job opportunities. I have 32 yrs experience with In-Home Care. Was hired at a local agency on Oct 4th, 2017. All the clients were very satisfied with my work ethics. I was off duty on Oct 11th, 2017 & was going to send my boyfriend a text when I accidentally sent it to this agencies on-call #. It just so happened to be the G.M.'s evening. The text expressed my feelings about having a stressful day. I realized my index finger hit the wrong contact & I immediately sent a Opps text. My shift on Oct 12th started @ 9am & at 9:30am recv'd text from G.M. to stop by office after my shift ended @ 4pm. I complied. I explained it was an honest mistake and I was told I wasn't the RIGHT FIT for this company. I calmly said, let me go out to car and get my picture I.D. badge. So now I'm again pounding the pavement. Lousy Company!

Fired without a good reason

Just want everyone to know something. Never put in an application to work for Haworth industry. They are biased towards people of the age of 40 or older, disable veterans, and racially bias as well. I was told today by one of their higher up in Michigan that I received ample training , which by the way was only 8 days, then got moved to shipping and receiving which was only 1day and a half, then I was fired

wrongful termination

I was fired after 23 years of service because of a messy employee. The adminstrator never got my side of the story until the day he decided to fire me. A new company took over in may this year staff or manager's never received a handbook on their policies or procedures. I went to the owner told him my story nothing happened. I have never been in any trouble the entire time I have worked there. When the new company came in I was there from sun up to sun down by myself putting that kitchen back together and I get let go over a employee acting like a child..so wrong what can I do about this

Wrongful termination

I was fired today after 2 weeks from haworth industry. 2 weeks! When I asked what I had done I was told I don't fit what they want. They kept saying I wasn't learning fast enough, which was after I had been there for only one week. I was moved to a different department. That was yesterday. I was told I was a hard worker with a great attitude, yet I was fired! Not understanding what happened.

Confused..

I worked for my previous employer for over 15 years. Never had any issues, my work was flawless, Audits, Attendance, Reviews, etc. I transferred to another branch and worked that office for over 7 years. Started noticing issues in our break room and began bringing up my issues to property management. Nothing was happening, over time; My staff started complaining as well, along with health issues from the mood growth. After a period of time, no one was addressing the problem, so I sent an email to OSHA, shortly after I was terminated from my job. I, as an operations manager did not want to see my staff and myself suffer from the toxic fumes that were lingering in our lunch room where we had to eat. Was what I did wrong, should I have stayed quiet, I would have had my job still.

Termination

How about being a dispatcher for a security company and the director finds a sneaky way to fire you. By telling your next in charge send her home she's to excited to be in dispatch she needs to be calmer and so your told go home. Then the person says I never sent you home you abandoned your post. Now I'm out of a job.
