My coworkers and I did something great together when...

From full system installs to in ground cover insults and every service in between. Working at MCM Pool Service Inc was a great experience. I worked there for four years and I consider it to be the best experience I've had in my working career. The owner and management are nothing short of amazing.

I made the biggest impact at my job by... being Kanban Coordinator

It was my job, I made the route, and once it was established the plant never ran out of parts in the two bin system. It was a wonderful feeling to know I was helping the teams and was making a difference.

The most AWESOME thing I ever did for a customer was...

The most awesome thing I did for someone while working at Image North was when a woman patient came in for a thyroid biopsy. She was alone and very scared about the procedure. So I calmly sat her down and gave her some water and said, " I know you're scared about the procedure but the entire staff and I will be here with you every step of the way, and you're in good hands, everything is going to be just fine." As I was talking to her I could see all the anxiety leave her face. She was so grateful that I made her feel better she told all the doctors that if it wasn't for me helping her she was going to leave and put off getting the procedure done. It felt wonderful to help someone like that.

The most AWESOME thing I ever did for a customer was...

I was fast and thorough. I did things not covered in the government contract because it was the right thing to do, For example the contract called for us to only wipe the part of the chair that the child sat in. Realizing that when a child pulls up to a table by holding the bottom edge of the chair and pulls it out grabbing the back edge of the back of the chair, I always turned the chairs upside down and cleaned and disinfected the part their little hands would come into contact with. I was told it was not required but if I could get it done in the required time it was ok. Any kind of work can be drudgery or fun. After I left one of my co workers said, "At least when Bill was here we had some fun." Working 20 or feet up in the lift dusting the ceiling and walls of the warehouse was a job no one wanted to do. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was good at it. As a self starter needing little supervision it was perfect. After I left a couple of my coworkers told the supervisor that I was the best worker he had. Never Quit was a mismanaged sub contractor that eventually lost the contract. When they were two weeks late with our pay they changed the pay period to delay payment more. I was more fortunate that I had a business with some income but my coworkers mostly relied on this job as their sole source of income and at $12 per hour are living paycheck to paycheck. Now being paid for three weeks was a real hardship. When it was 25 days since we had been paid I made a sign and posted it in the shoulder of the road at the depot entrance (not on Depot property. The sign said Never Quit Employees unpaid for 25 days. Knowing I had not broken any rules when the sign showed up in the office I took it home with me. At this point management knew I had put it up and fired me which we both knew was illegal. When the case finally got before the Labor Relations Bureau they found in my favor and decreed that Never Quit owed me $14,000 in back pay. Of course by that time they had taken bankruptcy.

The most AWESOME thing I ever did for a customer was...

I had forgotten to adjust a student's grade for extra credit before I turned them in. Regardless of any consequences to myself or any embarrassment as a result, I jumped through every hoop in order to give my student the grade he deserved.

The most AWESOME thing I ever did for my boss was...

The most awesome thing I did is create Complete Service Company.,my company was a detail cleaning service. I started going to apartment complexes, leaving my card my first complex was with Rector Phillip's Morse, I ended up with the majority of the work, I began hiring people to work for me. I also was blessed to be called by Rainey Realty and by Coldwell Bankers just to name a few. I have been blessed and refered by these companies.ThePhillips company was refered by RPM, I was chosen to do a Government contract by Phillip's Company to do cleaning for new construction for a 40unit,after that was Contacted by Phillip's Company again for New Construction,Bed Bath and Beyond and Staples on Chenal..My husband was my inspiration for all of this, I was going strong and my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and soon I had to close my business and his to take care of him,he was sick for nine years. I lost my husband in 2012 and now it is time for a new chapter in my life. I am ready for a smaller scale. I have had many people work for me for many years and always treated with respect and fairness. I hope to hear back from you give a chance to show my abilities.Thank you so much for your time.Peggy Nelson.
