To do what is expected gives a person a sense of achievement and enhances a person's self esteem. 1) I would show up on time, 2) I would do the work that was assigned to me and do it well. 3) I would volunteer to work overtime during sport games on Saturdays 4) I would stay after work a little longer because of sport game clean up 5) I would think of the money I was making that would help to pay the bills. 6) I would save money for the shopping days. 7) I would check that the entrance doors were all locked in order to assure protection for people in the building

Work Ethic
What's the best way to keep your work ethic at a all time high?

When does an employee start “killing a job”; and how do one know when they are killing a job or putting their best foot forward?

Does cReAtIvItY and iNnOvAtIoN have an age limit?
Someone once said that “Growing old is not for the faint of heart”. What I can surmise is that the one wi uttered this words was also on a search for clients, projects and employers. If you were on the prowl for the most capable creative team player for your project would you balk if that person was fifty years of age? How about fifty-five? If present data is to be referenced, physical prowess is no longer a “thing” for this talent pool. There are talented “web savvy” writers, illustrators, and even “front of the lens” talent available. How do I know? (Psst...you are reading some of his output.)

Down right upset.
I have applied for several jobs and I have also landed the jobs. I am a very detail organized person. I believe in doing my very best. I don't believe what I have seen on these jobs I have had. These managers just throw you to the wolves. There is not enough training that they give you while you are onboard. I was sent home after one week of training. I was told on one of my jobs that I wasn't catching on fast enough but during the whole time of training I was told that I was doing great. I felt so confident in myself that I was doing a good job. I did'nt miss one single call coming into this call center. I don't know what happen. This is very disappointing to me. I'm so frustrate with these jobs especially when you give them 100% of dedication and all your time.

How to Move Forward.
If you want to move forward in your job, here is how. #1. Never utter the words "that's not my job." This is one way to earn the ire of your bosses. This phrase will give them one of two opinions. First being you think you are better then others, the second that you are lazy. At any place of you need to accept everything is your job, From filing to changing trash. #2. Keep it professional. Sharing personal information with your coworkers is a no no. No one will promote you if they think making friends is more important to you then your job. I am not saying to be unfriendly, but forging close, personal relationships with your coworkers will make your boss think that you can't make the hard decisions, remember it is a workplace not high school. #3, Stay out of the drama Another reason why you don't get personal. It will be used. If you think there are not people out there waiting for you to mess up, and to throw it in your face, you are niave. If someone tries to start an argument, walk away. Remember you are an adult, that is an option. If you lower yourself to that level, it will be you who is noticed at a troublemaker. Who looks worse, the person yelling at someone quietly working, or two people having a verbal brawl in a professional workspace. #4, Ask to learn If there is something you don't know how to do, ask. Your employer will appreciate it. Employers like a go better, someone who is willing to listen and apply what they have learned. This also makes them aware of your desire without saying it out right. The only way to move forward is to is to get on their radar. This is the best way.

When work becomes your Valentine
My valentine this year will be my work. My real valentine will be traveling, and so I will spend the day and evening working. At first I was bummed out about not really celebrating the holiday but then I remembered all of the people who work on holidays like Easter and Christmas and New year's Eve and now I am Ieft here just think how grateful I am for all of the Police Officers, Hospital workers, Fire men and women, Military and everyone else who miss out in family holidays for work. Thank you!
