unemployeed and depressed

I've been working for this company for 11 mos. barely missed any days. did my job and then some. worked overtime almost every week they had it. so me and my husband had to recommute. so we put in our 2 week notice. my husband got a job he couldn't pass up. told our boss. well I went to finish out my two weeks. i forgot to mention i also put in my vacation days that I didn't use. they. accepted 1 then there was 2 more. well the more i kept asking my boss to please approve them he had no reason not to i did everything by the book. so they call me Monday night and said you can't come in to work tonight. because we need you to take a drug test.i said ok i can go do that right now.well no they're closed right now.so i went and did it first thing in the morning and passed with flying colors. well the lady that told me this said she would get a hold of me when she got the test back no call so i called them. i said i passed my drug test can i come back to work and proceeded to ask about my vacation days. she then responded no we no longer need you. so now I'm out of a job,, and need help to pay my bills. any helpful comments on what or if i can do anything about this would be appreciated thanks

Your job will do no more for you than you do for it.

Any job contains opportunities for personal growth if you approach it as a positive learning experience. Just as every business is required to adapt to new technologies, new competitors, and countless other changes that routinely occur, so is every individual. If you are not learning and advancing in your job, you are stagnating and falling behind. It is impossible to stand still. View each day as an opportunity to learn something new, to improve yourself, and then do one thing better than you have ever done it before. In a dynamic organization, it is impossible to master every task; just when you think you have everything figured out, things change. Accept such changes as a necessary aspect of the business, one that makes life interesting and exciting. You will find your job much more enjoyable when you do, and you will indeed find that it does more for you than you do for it.

Can't get a job

I've been jobless for 2months. There isn't a better candidate who love to work hard. The problem is you companies determine who you hire by not the work they can do, but by recent job history, etc. They really have people out here that are great employees and Im trying to get my life back on track and really are hard workers but you companies will never know because you won't give anyone a chance. I can't speak for everyone else but I have three little girls, I just got my license back valid and still can't get a job for what reason; unknown. But I appreciate you guys reviewing my application and I will continue looking. I am a hard-working great person who love to work and it's really trying his best to provide for his family. Maybe I shouldn't have put my ethnicity.

so far at my new job...

i had orientation last thursday and then i was thrown head first into work friday and saturday and then this week i worked tuesday and yesterday... i slowed down long enough to take my required half hour break. i bust my but from the time i get there to the time i head home and the managers and others are tough to read at times... i hope they are seeing i am a hard worker and an asset to the job and more than that i hope i am appreciated. now to just get more shifts which would be great. i am doing all this to help my family and the times it is draining that is my main focus.

my first time encountering the worlds laziest worker ive ever met.

I worked at a company near LAX, basically I was a Maintenance Assistant/Attendant, I worked there for almost 5 weeks. There were 2 M.A. in the building that's me and this (Lazy) guy. Yeah, in the first week he was alright, but the following weeks, I only seen him 1 once or twice a week in our building. What so bad is he CLOCKS IN every morning at 6am and leaves at 2pm, but he never showed up. 3 engineers in the building but cant do anything about it!!! WHy? the guy is the Managers son. :) Quite impressive. I told the the engineers, " How are you gonna have a such a perfect team if you have trash in your team?" That's the last word I told them before I left this 22nd of March. I know they needed me, ive been working with the engineers, and they pretty much liked me and I showed them what ive got. I feel bad for the engineer, I wish they can find a new one or else they want me back

they cant do anything about the other MA. he sleeps in his car.

Hard work..

I was told by new employer that I would be great for this job. It was more money better hours. I'm a single mom. I took the job. On my second day in not even in a row mind you. My new boss brings me into the office after belittling me all day in front of my team mates... he then tells me I have to make some major improvements to my speed and errors by TOMORROW or they will need to let me go. Its only my 2nd day on the job.
