My biggest challenge I overcame at work was...

Patients would have hallucinations and I'd need to stay calm, but sometimes get hit anyway, or close to it.

Making the best of a bad situation

I took a job that pays me what I am worth but it is turning out to be a disaster in all ways. When I first started the staff gave me work to do on a rare occasion like every other day. They were fully aware of my background and experience other wise I would have not been hired according to the owner. Just last week I was reprimanded for not doing a lot of work and my time sheet showing numbers of not working really high when there has been work available. The gal that was to train me is not training me at all instead she is corresponding to the owner I am a lost cause and not doing things the correct way. She sat on my work for nearly a month and my boss pulled me into his office and asked why the errors if I claim to have experience. Mind you I work in a paperless office something very new to me and no one has taken the time to show me things. The other day I went to a co-worker for advice on how the reports need to be presented to management she explained to me and then went to my boss no one has trained me properly and I was reprimanded for going to her about the issue of how to present the reports to management. Today the boss asked me to do a task and I am doing it like requested mid way through the morning got asked if I was finished I explained it is taking time because I have make sure I do not duplicate the task given and I had issues with several of the items she requested and she is continuing to ask me when will I be done with the task given told her probably by Monday morning early since I am having to make sure no duplicates are created. She went to the boss and told him I am moving very slow at this task I explained myself and he told her to give me until Monday afternoon to complete it and do it correctly. I really need to find another job been looking been out on several interviews and nothing yet I have hopes for one to come through if it does I would not mind leaving where I am as communication and micro management seems to be the way this company is heading with me. The gal I replaced they did not do this to why me I keep asking. I had a medical appointment the other day was told take it as a lunch hour and that I did but got written up for failing to call in when I left the clinic which was 45 minutes after I left to go to the appointment. I got written up for being 1 minute tardy when I called stated I was behind an accident I would be in as soon as it cleared our employee handbook mentions nothing like a grace for clocking in or out everyone else shows when they feel but I have to be in the door promptly at 8am and to solve this I arrive at 730am waiting for a member to show up since I have no access to the building before 8am. The owner requested I get a key and the assistant manager told him not until she has been here 60 days. How do handle a staff that does not want me here but they need the work done? How does one respond to the micromanagement scenario? How do I tell them I am doing work that is given just when I complete it why does it take a month to be returned and told fix or fired?
