I got fired yesterday. I'm a welder.
I got this job at a small fab shop. They said that they needed a fab guy and a welder. Well,I'm a welder, been a welder for over 25 years. Yesterday, the boss pulled me in the office and tells me that I'm not "artsy" enough for the job. I didn't go to college to be an artist, I went to learn how to weld. I understand that some people think a bad weld is just as good as a proper weld. IT'S NOT!

THE WELDER ALWAYS WINS! (Interviews, Jobs and Resumes) (Weld your thought together.) [IBYC]
WHY IS THIS ILLUSTRTION IMPORTANT? (This can change the way you think.) DON'T DRAG YOUR FEET, READ THIS IMMEDIATELY!
A welder knows that she or he must fuse together the materials in order to have a successful project at the end of the day. Sometimes, that may require working odd hours to see your mission through to completion. (It all depends on the welder.)
Likewise, when you want to be successful in your endeavors, you have to "weld your thoughts together" to form that same mental picture of what you need to achieve. That's how the welder wins!
Learn this principle and life won't ever be the same!

My advice to people interested in working at #Iowalaser as a #Welder ...
Don't. Simply don't. Iowa laser is owned by O'Neal steel and they do not care about their employees. They're very strict and treat people like dirt. The pay is just ok unless you stay there for a very long time. They'll try to make the job sound attractive by telling you they work 4-10hr shifts and have fri, sat, sun off unless they're working o.t.. what they don't tell you is they rarely work 40hr weeks... you've been warned...
