The most stressful part about volunteering at #Counselor was

Nothing stressful except to convince the City to support the mission of the organization in full. Other than this, the organization was rewarding and more fulfilling knowing we were giving a different outlook on life to young black men going into the real work. May not have been all the tools needed for success, but it was the foundation to know they are not alone in their walk into life.

It's important to volunteer @ #Whateverwasrequiredtoassistthedifferentorganizations. because...

I feel that people, especially children, need positive examples to become better people, learn with each other, help each other, and learn the hard lessons that they will face in life as they grow. I was blessed as a child to have these kinds of positive examples in my life, by my parents, teachers, coaches, etc, and believe that everyone can benefit themselves and others with good training and positive interaction. I feel that someone must take the lead in helping young people better themselves and others, and some, especially kids, don't always get that type of benefit. There are some fine people out there who do these things, there are others who for whatever reasons...don;t. Kids have to learn the important things when young in order to build on them as they get older. Someone, and there are many, need to step up for these kids.

What do I do if my best job was over 10 years ago?

I'm looking for work in my area and they want up to 10 years experience in the field. For me that would be volunteering only. But my best experience in work field is past that. Does I use it still?

I love animals

I grew up knowing and loving animals and want to work with animals, but when i go and apply for them I don't have the experience. I volunteered for tnr (trap neuter and release) for 2 and a half years and vet science for a year and a half.

The door is open...but i can't seem to pass through it.

I have been looking for Non-profit/development work for quite some time. Before, I had the education, but not the experience. Since then, I have been volunteering to gain experience. However, I am still only getting interviews for 5% of the resumes I send out.
