regret why i studied
some times I regret why I studied. I do hold a diploma in business studies -accounting option . I have been volunteering for four years now but iam not getting a real salaried job. I some times say that may be its because a diploma is a lower qualification and for my bad luck now I do not have any monies with me Here so that I go for my first degree so that I can apply and get a job. I believe in God and I have been praying but I don't know why my prayers are very late to be answered . I don't know what to do. even if I get a low paying job even out side my qualifications whether cleaning or what , am ready for it but still I have not gotten that chance. now what should I do. because the experience of four years I have is not helping me at all now . should I quit and go back my home but still how will I survive because here they give me food and accommodation . life has really confused me

Volunteering makes your resume look AMAZING!!
Right now Houston is in need for volunteers after the devastation of Harvey. Hiring managers LOVE to see you have selflessly given your time to a cause. It shows you are committed, you care, and most importantly you want to make a difference! Here is a [great site] (https://voad.communityos.org/disaster-volunteer-registration) where you can register and even choose what you would like to do to assist the Houston community. They will need volunteers today, tomorrow, and even months and months from now. Make sure to register to volunteer if you are nearby! We also know that not everyone lives in the Houston area, but that doesn't mean you can't volunteer in your own community! Use the 4 steps below to find a volunteer opportunity near you.
1.Click on “Jobs & Companies” at the top of the page 2.Enter the word "volunteer" into the search field that says "Job title" 3.Click on the blue button to search for that position in your area 4.Once the list is up, click on “View Job" of any you are interested in and then apply.
Thank you for thinking of others!

Hello fellow Houston neighbors
If you can donate blood fantastic, it is so needed by so many!! If you can't, but still want to help I saw there are a few jobs available at [We Are Blood] (http://www.501community.org/jobs/item/13/7734). I bet you could reach out and offer to volunteer as well, which always looks awesome on a resume.

How volunteering at #HilltopCowboysAthleticAssociation changed me
I am able to extend love to a ton of kids at one time, and not just the two I am raising. I am a natural nurturer. I connected with a wonderful lady who heads an annual school supply drive, and now receive 200 backpacks with school supplies; I pass them out at the beginning of each school year to the players, cheerleaders and siblings that are a part of our program. We also stress education, respect for self and others, accountability and responsibility. We check report cards. We mentor. I have an even greater sense of pride and accomplishment. Nothing is better than seeing a child blossom, build self-confidence and self-worth. Knowing I play a small part in helping them succeed is everything.
