I was laid off from my job a few months ago and I've been a major procrastinator with applying for new ones. I had been finishing up a couple classes, so I wasn't in a super hurry to do it. I have a vacation coming up that's been planned and paid for a few months, but there's a few jobs that have recently popped up I'm interested in. I really want to submit my resume but I'm concerned they'll want to interview me while I'm gone. Should I be letting someone know I'll be gone for a certain period and, if so, how do i do that?

I am going on vacation in July, but I also have my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice, and have been researching jobs before I leave. Should I apply for jobs knowing that I will be leaving for a vacation in the latter half of July or wait until I return to apply?

Hello everyone I just interview for two companies they said they would give me an answer after Christmas. If hired I'm not sure if I should tell them that I have plans for an important two week trip before working????? The trip is in about 4 or 6 months....

I heard Chipotle is one of the only food service companies that offer p/t employees vacation time and I want to confirm if this is true before applying. Thanks.

Ugh, sorry to hear you r dealing w this Corey. Usually employers have vaca policies associated w your employment agreement. If u violate them this could result in a termination. But for almost ANY infraction you should get a warning discussion of sorts. To b fired out- of - the - blue is abnormal and problematic for the employer. That said, i'd suggest chalking it up to a learning experience and focus on finding a new job w an employer that you can get aligned with regarding your work-life balance preferences. Always better looking forward rather than fighting backward. Sry this happened, but hoping you find an even better gig in Jobcase that u can b excited about. Good luck, ya got a lot of jobcasers rooting for u Fred

Lost of job for excessive vacation usage. Didn't know you could loose your job for frequently using your vacation.
