Ok if anyone wants to try their hand at this then feel free and if you get good at this you could earn potentially more than a living wage, so to start what is UX design? Contrary to popular belief UX and UI design are not the same UI is what a person would interact with UX is all about emotions invoked by the system and not just the interface which is what UI is the two work hand in hand but are not the same . Lets quickly look at UI and see what it does. User Interface is a system for the user to interact with the product/services the site or app it's not all eye candy the visual aspect is a by product of the system, try not to clutter it up with wow graphics as this can be disconcerting to the eye and the user confused, always have this acronym in your head K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid) or the less is more which ever way you want to look at it but basically the prime purpose of UI is to fulfil the needs of the user (oh and don't forget to be consistent throughout the site and keep it on brand). Now to UX or User Experience and it is normally tagged with design and herein lies the confusion between UI and UX. UX is like an umbrella that covers all aspects and brings them to a closer goal these include content, information architecture, interaction design, user research, usability, information architecture. The question is what UX really means to you, me and the target users? Basically, if you extract out the emotions from your website, app or brand, then you will end up creating an apathetic sense in your users to your brand. However, if you put emotions, care and sentiment in your brand, you will be able to connect with your user at a psychological level and, thus, influence their heart and mind more efficiently. This is, in short, what UX or User Experience is all about.
