I decided to get married and there were no jobs in the area because 3 oil companies were on strike at the same time

What made me stay at #USArmy was
I got a chance to work with so many Soldiers from everywhere. My over 20 year career was amazing but unfortunately I had to retire December 2019. I always wanted to serve my country since I was a little girl. Being able to travel to different places and protect our country God bless!! #SFCWalton(Retired)!! #20Years11Months!!

One thing I would have loved to have at #USArmy(18thFieldArtilleryBrigade,FortBragg) was
I wish I would have had more time to focus on improving crew training proficiency.

Develops for most who enter, a can-do, get the job done, mindset. Develops leadership and following skills, important for any business success at all levels. Exposes individuals to foreign cultures and teaches positive behaviors required in a diverse work force and society. For individuals without clear goals coming out of high school, a great first job.

I loved being with a group of Soldiers, working as a team to accomplish the same mission. The friendships come and go but the teams will always be remembered.

Working in the United States Army gave me great pride and purpose. I learned to work well with others. I learned to adapt to many different situations. I feel molded me into a productive and positive person. There has been no greater honor to serve as an American Soldier.
