Something I learned at #U.S.P.S. ...

I learned a great work ethic because I wanted the public to be happy with the mail service as a whole! It starts with a good attitude!!

My #U.P.HealthPortage advice

They don't replace employees that quit! They expect you to take on many more jobs with the same pay! I don't think that's good customer service or healthy for the other employees!

What I loved working at #U.P.HealthPortage

It was a good place to work until they sold out to a for profit organization. It all went downhill after that! The patients and staff suffered the worse. The only winners are the big wigs!!

A #stressful #U.S.DepartmentofStateLanguageServices story

The most stressful part of the U.S. DoS Language Services jobs commitment was (and still is) time zone change (Pacific to Atlantic) as the assignments start in D.C.and a Californian wakes up three hours ahead of his habitual time the next morning... That is orchestrated by hops from one time zone to another in the course of the program (occasionally it may be back to Pacific time zone several days into the program and then - back to some place in the East again... wherever the program plan might take you). The people in the group (visitors from Russian-speaking areas) might have nerves and occasional temper flares (the tempers normally tend to show towards the conclusion of interpreting assignments as visitors get increasingly homesick).

My unforgettable #u.s.armycivilservice moment

Over a 13 yr period I was able to keep all computer workstations and servers up without any downtime. The overwhelming reults by our whole staff were reflected in the best agency in the world annually in both quickest disposition time of soldiers AND biggest cost savings to all taxpayers while always staying under budget! One year I identified an over 775 thousand dollar saving based on our flawless quick case processing. Soldier and citizens always won!
