I notice more and more states are shutting down lots more rest stops to cut costs, which forces us to park in empty parking lots or on the side of interstates to get some sleep. Where do you all park your truck? Do you guys think this will ever get any better?! I am annoyed!

Hi, my name is Steve, I am a full time student at Springfield Technical Community College. I am 65 yrs old and I am enjoying the education,however I work for a company that is almost an hr away, It is also physically challenging and I have had some setbacks in maintaining the job, so I have incurred some points against me towards my termination. I don't mind the job it pays better than my last job a big retailer that didn't pay. I am hoping to graduate in 1/2020 and my major is Laser optics a very marketable career choice,(although I still worry a little about my chances. I don't want to lose my present job only because I don't like being fired but I need to find something closer. So I'm just babbling and I'm sure it will all work out but I may just have to quit if they don't give me a "hearing"

Hi, I never had a job at my teenage years. I couldn't because I had a single mother and I'm now 20 turning 21 finally soon and now finally have my own transportation to take me to places. I been trying to get a job but most jobs won't accept me from not having any experience please help! Any tips? Any advice? #job #help

So DOT pulls me over and the guy has a real attitude. He asks me if I know why he pulled me over. I honestly didn’t. I told him I had no clue. He says I must be stupid because I was speeding. I tell him that can’t be right. I knew I wasn’t speeding. Of course no point in arguing with him, but I swear I wasn’t speeding! Now this is likely going to cost me my job because no one is going to want to hire someone who has a ticket on their record. What the heck am I going to do now? I feel like I got so screwed here!! Please help!

The other day, I was pretty much freaking out about not having a job after searching for more than a month. I was afraid I'd wind up homeless after managing to escape an abusive relationship, and worried that I wasn't getting any call backs due to my inconsistent history while I was basically trapped, and wasn't always allowed a choice on what happened to me and my attempted careers.

Well, today was a good day, finally. I actually got several calls from jobs I'd applied to over a month ago. I wound up accepting one very close to my current home, and interview tomorrow. The hiring manager actually has a family friend history with a close friend of mine, and she sounded really positive about meeting me because of it. If for whatever reason I don't get it, I've even talked to a couple of other hiring managers that seemed to understand that someone else had gotten to me first, but if something changed, I got call back numbers to go ahead and schedule interviews with them.

I ultimately don't know what happened so suddenly, but I'm grateful. To everyone that sent positive vibes of any kind, I appreciate you all. Thank you all.

I've been jobless for 2months. There isn't a better candidate who love to work hard. The problem is you companies determine who you hire by not the work they can do, but by recent job history, etc. They really have people out here that are great employees and Im trying to get my life back on track and really are hard workers but you companies will never know because you won't give anyone a chance. I can't speak for everyone else but I have three little girls, I just got my license back valid and still can't get a job for what reason; unknown. But I appreciate you guys reviewing my application and I will continue looking. I am a hard-working great person who love to work and it's really trying his best to provide for his family. Maybe I shouldn't have put my ethnicity.

I am wondering how you all stay healthy on the road? Ive been a trucker for a while now and I try to exercise when I can and eat better but I usually end up eating crap. Whatever is fast and tastes ok usually is not good for me. I really love my job, but my one fear is I will develop diabetes like my sister and older brother cuz it runs in our family. I don’t want that. HELP! What can I do?

I have been driving for this company for the past 4 months and I like it, but now my boss wants to add more hours to my schedule. I have my son five days a week and my ex has him on the weekends. He can’t take him during the week and I don’t have family to help out for those extra hours. I am really in trouble! What am I going to do? Freaking out that they will fire me if I say no!! HELP!

Last week after passing the scale I was pulled over for a DOT inspection. Figured it was routine when the officer asked if could see the inside of my truck. I got nothing to hide so I said sure. I was not carrying anything I shouldn't, but all of a sudden he starts rifling through my stuff and finds a large plastic cooking knife that was next to a spatula and some seasonings under my seat. I have a microwave in the back and sometimes I cook stuff in it. I am not a criminal but this guy said I was lucky he didn’t arrest me right there. For what? Carrying a large plastic knife??! He also told me he could put me out of service. My wife and kids need me and we NEED this money so I was polite and listened to everything he said, but it sucked. I wish I had told him NO when he asked if he could look around. Would that have been worse you think? Did I do the right thing?
