A #stressful #TheSalvationArmy day
Most stressful is leading up to an in-house seminar. My job was to go to several stores to buy food for breakfast, breaks, and lunch. As well, it was my responsibility to set up room (tables placed by maintenance) as well as organizing all food in the kitchen. I was reprimanded for having volunteers help with the serving. When the in-house seminar concluded, it was again my sole responsible to clean up the room. I had never experienced such high levels of emotional and physical exhaustion.

My advice to people interested in working at #TheSalvationArmy as a #AdministrativeGeneralist ...
If you don't mind working for a group of people with an entitlement attitude then you may fit into their culture. Be prepared to work with officers who literally have everything furnished (houses, vehicles, utilities, clothing) and who complain constantly about being poor. The pay is minimal and unless you have a second source of income, you will not be able to sustain anything other than paying monthly expenses. Civilians are worked to the bone while officers sit back and watch. I would not recommend working here.
