Some advice or opinions please

I lost my job last June 2016 and have been looking for a teaching job. I ran out of my unemployment and all the while, I have been looking for a position filling out applications that take hours to complete. I have a valid teaching certificate and 17 years experience. So far the biggest school district here in North Texas told me good luck on my job search. I think my trouble with getting a job has to do with a bad evaluation I got several years ago, but I have to answer honestly on job applications. I am also handicap, I show up at interviews using a walker or my scooter, depending on the place I go to interview. Should I be having such a hard time finding work, or did all the rules change and I didn't know about it?

Parveen

I am passionate about teaching and helping young and old adults. I had been in teaching career since last 24 yrs at various places. I taught in India for 11 years and then in NewZealand for 13 years. I was teaching secondary school for 5 years and then I moved to teach adult students teaching NCEA L2 qualification ( which is similar to Grade 12 in US) and helping them to enter NZ Defence Forces by preparing them for the psychometric test. I want to continue teaching in US as an adult teacher.

The biggest mistake I made as a #Teacher at #Belightinternationalschool ...

Delayed customers on a particular day I accepted too much work without involving a team member

The biggest mistake I made as a #Teacher at #DOMINIONCHRISTIANPRIVATESCHOOLS ...

The only mistake i would say that I've made was to allow my students to work on their own, since children needs regular supervision, guidance and direction. But as i said earlier it all was a learning process for me, so i adjusted to it and developed a few skills to handle them individually.

Retired Teacher

There is a shortage of teachers in my area of expertise but why don't school districts want part-time retired teachers to help their students?

My advice to people interested in working at #VirginiaDept.ofJuvenileJustice as a #Teacher ...

I would discourage anyone from working there. There is so much violence. Administrators do not support you. Governor Terry MacAuliffe and Agency Director Andy Block are seeking to simply advance their political careers.
