The Sysco Minnesota, located at 2400 County Road J., Mounds View, MN 55112 is currently hiring a Warehouse Selector (Night).

POSITION SUMMARY: This is a warehouse position responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using SOS label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires working 6:00 p.m. until end-of-shift until all product is accurately selected and loaded. Overtime hours and working weekends and holidays are required in order to successfully fill customers’ orders. Job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions, and on selecting environment (Dry, Cooler, Freezer). RESPONSIBILITIES: • Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer. • Operate assigned SOS unit to create labels; correctly place labels on product. • Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.). • Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product. • Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations. • Follows SyscoSafe preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions. • Follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by the Company and by AIB (American Institute of Baking). • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment. • Frequently lift product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches; constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelf areas. • Shrink-wrap product on loading dock. • Attend all required company meetings. • Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Qualifications: • 18+ years of age • Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screening, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test). Preferred Qualifications: • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent • 3 months’ warehouse experience • 3 months’ experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift • Previous experience at Sysco or in foodservice distribution environment Professional Skills: • Able to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard. • Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment. • Able to meet or exceed established cases per error goals. • Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures. • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations. Responsibilities include:
POSITION SUMMARY: This is a Shuttle position Based out of Bow-NH, Exeter-NH, or Peabody-MA traveling over evenings to Plympton, MA. This is an Operations position responsible for providing efficient and economical service while operating vehicles associated with delivery activities and performing other related duties as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Make a check of manifests, invoices and backhaul paperwork to determine any special orders or instructions. • Note any observed competitor activity or products at a customer site and notify Driver Lead or Manager in an effort to enhance sales planning and evaluation. • Log delivery information in Tripmaster for each delivery stop to provide documentation of activities and proceed to the next delivery as outlined on the manifest sheet. • Unload returned merchandise off of truck and places them in the proper location for Inventory Control personnel to check. Report large returns to the Driver Lead or Manager in an effort to enhance the efficiency of inventory control and warehouse operations. • Contact Driver Lead or Manager for further instructions or next day instructions to enhance efficiency of delivery services. • Inspect delivery vehicle, per DOT instructions (i.e. checking tire pressure, oil level, gauges, etc.) to ensure that it is set at proper temperature and operating properly. • Ensure, when leaving truck unattended, that doors are closed and locked and keys are removed from the ignition to avoid occurrences of theft. • Report any vehicle mechanical problems to truck shop immediately and complete D.O.T. post trip inspection report placing all copies in the proper locations to ensure proper repair and the availability of a fully operational fleet. • Park vehicle, following check-in, remove all load bars, pallets, and hand trucks and place the equipment in the appropriate areas. • Redeliver and pick up products as required. • Perform other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Qualifications: • Must be 21+ years of age • Meet and maintain MVR violation and insurance pooling requirements. • A valid Class A Driver License and a clean driving record. • 1 year Class A commercial driving experience • Ability to lift approximately 50-80 lbs. to a level of three feet high Preferred Qualifications: • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, the following certifications: o Double and Triple Trailer o Hazardous Cargo • Previous experience at Sysco or in foodservice industry Professional Skills: • Good knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations, vehicle and handling equipment use and maintenance requirements • Possess good driving skills to include backing into limited space areas. • Ability to plan and organize your own work activities • Ability to analyze and disseminate data, manage work time efficiently, and follow procedures, policies, routes and instructions • Ability to read and write, identify and solve problems, perform basic mathematical calculations including making change • Ability to deal effectively with customers Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Qualifications: • 21+ years of age • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a "clean" driving record (including: no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 7 years) • Possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner’s Certificate Card (MEC).
