When I started at GreatClips I only had to work at two other shops for six months of peace they were full service and they were all about selling retail instead of really doing customer service because it was slow paced and never really learn how to cut hair or get good experience. Within a year working with GreatClips I was able to replicate any haircut from a picture I also made a way better money and that made me happy because I was so mad that I paid so much for school and was getting paid nearly minimum wage. Great Clips the wonderful place to start out and learn your skills but now that I have working for them for about 7 years I don't want to work for any other company I love GreatClips they're amazing and I recommend it to any stylist New or Old! Oh awesome you learn the ability to work with other people of all kinds people with disabilities older people younger people but all people and that gives you the strength and efficiency to work anywhere. not to mention that GreatClips customers are the best they're so down-to-earth and it's so laid-back I have built many strong and happy relationships with my clients and you will too!

It all started one day when a man came in begging for a haircut a homeless man. He said that he had a job interview and that he did not have money for a haircut I was working on a Saturday. I told him to come back at the end of the day and I would cut his hair for free it made me feel very rewarded and got in telling how he lived and how he came to be homeless. It was very rewarding and I would do it anytime because I love it since then we have done many homeless people's haircuts and the Great Clips Corporation as a whole should get on board with it because there are many many many homeless people in downtown where I work and everywhere else. And they deserve the opportunity to get a job just like we do.!

I've worked hard all my life I'm always on time I always do more than what I should I never sit around and do nothing I always go and find something to do if there's nothing to do I'm respectful I'm personable I'm neat and clean in appearance, i have common sense but nothing pays off I'm 56 years old and I can't do hard labor no more so I need to find something that's a little bit easier than being out in the heat because I've gotten skin cancer on my face twice I don't want to get again because I'm just old I need an easier job at work and I've paid my dues but nothing wants to pan out and frustrated and my time is running out I wish I had a job like a stylist cuz I like clothes and I like dressing people. Now I know that sounds kind of corny but hey that's what I like to do.
