Manager
I've been a manager for several businesses and have now had problems getting jobs at simple places like Taco Bell and such because I've been told I am over qualified for the position that I am applying to. How do I avoid these unfortunate turndowns and land a job? I really need to work and I don't care what kind of job I get.

My employees are still more loyal to my late father.
My father died unexpectedly in November which forced me to take over his small business on very short notice. My father was never very good at hiring qualified people and tended to just hire whoever he thought 'needed' the job the most. Because of this, all of the employees were extremely loyal to my father, which was great for him, but not so much for me, who they have little respect for (the 'young' guy). How can I gain their respect without trying to 'be' my father or threatening to fire them? This isn't my first leadership role, but it's definitely my most challenging.

Facing Mid-Life Crisis?
Approaching 40 and facing a strong desire to change industries. Has anyone gone through a career change this late in their life? Retail management is no longer fulfilling and a dead end career choice if I ever want to have a decent retirement. My thoughts today are mainly focused on what I would be interested in doing for the next 20+ years I probably have left to work or find employment. I know these changes usually require going back to school which ultimately means incurring more debt. I'm definitely confused, nervous, and not sure what to do.

I've apply a few times and seen there was employment eligibility. My name is Susan Golobic and my email is cowboygs@yahoo.com. I have even talk to employees about the date set to bring in application last week. The time stated between 7am to 6pm. I was there at 7am and the store was not open so I came back to not just shop and gave my resume to the cashier and asked her about what I had seen on your website. I just moved to Indiana and love your store, and I have submitted my application in person and also your website. Would be very please to have someone contact me either email or my phone 708-252-6897. I lost my resent job they closed the store and have been the top employee for 11 years. Store Manager
Frustrated with my current company. In ll aspects of our company corporate only ever talks to anyone if we are doing something wrong or not well. There is absolutely no employee appreciation and it is so sad to me. I have had more customer appreciation working at a mall when I was younger than what I receive now. It makes going to work everyday feel depressing with how they treat us.
