How I started volunteering at #Specialolympics

I was working for McDonald’s doing public relations . I was always looking for ways to promote McDonald’s so I went and took Grimace with me.I learned that no matter who you are you are very special and there is no difference between us. We all love too have fun, laugh and smile.

How I started volunteering at #SpecialOlympics

I worked for a Government Agency for 16 1/2 years and wanted to experience something different, so, I got a job at Developmental Services and really got to know and love the population I was working with. They taught me so much, and I felt I wanted to give back. I volunteered as a partner/competitor and had the best experience ever! Special Olympics gives hope and encouragement to ALL who participate. They know the true spirit of good natured competition and friendship. I've never had a more fulfilling feeling than being with the competitors and volunteers. I highly recommend volunteering, and I truly believe Eunice Kennedy Schriver (founder) was brilliant in creating this inspirational idea!
