Returning to job market as a senior
Any advice how to return to the healthcare market in a lesser position? Retired in 2010 but need to work now. Get you’re overqualified a lot.

I have also recently been fired from a position , OVER the PHONE! I had been an Administrator, Director of nursing, Quality assurance and Compliance filled in as field nursing. 2 Days after I turned 65 i was fired under the term " they were no longer servicing my community". I know nurses are going into the region. I helped them get the business going and become CHAPS accredited, trainings, infection control, connected with community resources and was on my 3rd year and they discarded me like I was nothing! I understand your plight, and now I am having a difficult time finding another job because who wants to hire a 65 year old woman, even though I have an impeccable resume. i feel in the 40 years of nursing our profession has changed and Administration is about quantity not quality. Can you really help someone 55+ find a decent job?

Being over 50 years old
Yes, I am over 50 y/o and trying to return into the workforce; however, I am not being hired, even though I have much work experience. In the past, that used to be an asset, but not now. I've decided to return to school to learn another career, but I am so frustrated and angry that I have to. All that I have accomplished in my past is not valuable and sought after? How the world has changed! There's no "pounding the sidewalk" anymore. No talking and handshaking, unless you are invited to an interview. Everything is done online. So impersonal! I've been applying since January and have had 4 interviews. Whoopee!
