Do you find part-time jobs for Seniors looking for a little added income?

I am looking for something 15 - 20 hrs a week or less. Just to earn a little extra to maintain my sewing addiction.

Reality sets in,the feeling out being obsolete?

I have just been blessed with my #60 birthday,I am in a foreign country figuratively speaking. I have been in the land of unemployment for 6mos and frustrated at every turn,I haven't had to job search in 20 years,I have tons of experience in management and leadership roles..a partner in the company I just left and before that I ran my own company for the better part of 8 years...I have submitted countless applications and I have been able to visit with potential employers only a handful of times I can read between the lines always over qualified or we will get back with you but here I sat, bills to pay and I still have young ones,I feel lost at times I am trying to hold on" what's a guy have to do?

DAZED AND CONFUSED

It's been almost two months now that I got laid off. I worked for a bookkeeper for almost 19 years, short of two months! It was extremely shocking for me. I felt like part of the family for so long. My feelings have been up in the Air every since. I am hurt beyond recognition and feel that saying "out with the old in with the new" could have been one of the major causes for my dismissal. Decrease in office staff was the reasoning, and even though it slowed down, it was unfair to get rid of me. I was always on time, worked the hardest of most, and still got booted. Finding a job with good pay AND BENIFITS ARE HARD IN A SMALL TOWN. I am 59 and struggling to find a good job.

Starting work Thursday!

I just wanted to share with everyone that after interviews and posting since last October, even though I still don't have the medical transcription job that I would like to have, I have a honest to goodness job! It's a start and it allows me to get back in the workplace and gain experience again. I'm 61, so all of you folks out there who have started to give up, hang in there! A job is waiting out there for you, keep believing and don't give up! If I can do it, ANYONE can!

Senior looking for part time work

I am 63 yrs old senior . Retired and looking for part time work. I am finding the process particularly challenging. I am a college graduate with Bachlor in Social Work. I was employed with the felony courts for thirty years. Only experience I have is working with youths and adults in criminal setting. I was love to be involved again helping others and learning new skills too. In different type of setting would be great. Any suggestion where I can apply ?

Resumes

I am 61 years old and was married for 42 years until my husband died last year. My work history is spotty and because of a disability I have not worked for 16 years. I am very stable now and willing and able to work . My problem is how to explain this in a positive light when creating my resume. Any advice?
