Check out Oscar's story! Oscar began his career in the US Army and National Guard. In the early 80’s, he joined the Collier County Sheriff’s office as a Dispatcher and 911 Operator. His career spanned 23 years from 1983 through 2006. He retired in February of 2006 as a Captain in the Professional Responsibility and Training Division. Oscar began his second career at Vi in 2006 as security supervisor and was promoted in 2017 to Security and Safety Manager. Oscar finds that he draws on many of the leadership and coaching skills he learned as a law enforcement officer as he leads at Vi.
