I have taught science for 20+ years. I definitely supervise a large number of squirrels daily. How might I parlay that into a new career field?

Looking for a career in the Ag Sciences

Help!! My son is graduating from college in May with BA in Biology. He has never worked a paying job although he has done volunteering.

He is very introverted, lacks social skills as he stays away from people and wants to work with animals. He is very good with all animals and I see the appeal for him.

Now I have spoken with our vet about a job and she said she would certainly talk with him. I have been in HR over 20 years so I have helped with his resume and I’m trying to teach him how to interview.

Now here’s the thing I need help with. Since he has never had to fend for himself he isn’t motivated to get a game plan together. I think he thinks he can live at home forever. Not!!!

He is smart and sweet but shy and closed off some. I think he’s afraid to meet with these hiring managers. How can I help him? Anyone have any ideas? I know we did wrong by coddling him his whole life but I can’t change that so don’t lecture me please. I want him to be successful and comfortable in his position bu I can’t get him to cooperate.

Hello, my name is Ahndylyn Kinney (Andy). I have an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and intern and work experience. I am currently an online masters student - environmental management and business. I am interested in a career opportunity that allows growth and and a long-term plan.

I am here, because I am weary of pastoring after doing that for nearly 30 years. I think I can have a better impact on my world for good if I relate to students, rather than to congregants. I can organize material and present it clearly. I still understand the science concepts I learned in college and am anxious to prove it as evidenced by my relatively high, passing score on the Texas pedagogy test after being away from it over 30 years. I plan on taking the first content test, teaching science to students in grades 4-8 within a week. I look forward to helping students learn.

I have graduated in college of science because I know though science you can learn more and develop your career , it really worked for me.

I was promoted as Master Teacher in Science year 2009 because of my Outstanding performance for 3 consecutive years.Served as Demonstration Teacher to show on how to teach Science using Process skills,Cooperative learning, Active Strategies and 4 A's Approach during the District Inservice Training. Conducted Write Shop and Workshop Seminar.Designed curriculum planning in Science and Health grade 3,4,5 and 6. My commitment and dedication to love my job as a Science Teacher for 28 years leads me to have passion in Teaching profession by molding the young to become a useful and productive citizen of our country.
