In October of 2017 I was given the option for a voluntary early retirement at the age of 53 from the company I had worked at for 15 years. After a challenging and rewarding 30 year career as a laboratory scientist, I saw this opportunity as a blessing. My mother has been having some medical issues and it is important to me to be able to make myself more available to her. March 31, 2018 was my last day and I have spent the past several months moving from Indiana to Kentucky to be closer to mom. I am looking for a part-time job to supplement my pension.
