Ask for a "Mental Health Day" or just "call in sick"
I was just reading this article
about how some millennials are asking for a "Mental Health Day". I'm wondering what Jobcasers think. When you need a day off to deal with something and aren't sick, do you
- ask for a Mental Health Day
- or are you afraid of the stigma and just call in sick?

Frustrated beyond belief!!
Got fired from my job of 13 plus years over attendance issues only due to migraine headaches!! They knew I had them and had intermittent leave for them at one time. Got better went off it. Started up again and during the long drawn out process went over on attendance and when the FMLA came through the day before I got fired did not cover all the days!! Mind you THEY sent me home for 80 percent of the time!! Now having hard time I believe due to age--I am almost 55 now. Been on several interviews and either I do t hear back from them even when I send email asking about the job or get "even though we are quite impressed with your skill set we decided to go another direction with someone else" . I have even sent emails to those that interviewed me to see if there was something that I could do or say differently to help me in the future to getting nothing back!!

My experience good and bad!!!!!
The hours were great, the fact that the company president door was always open. The bad...good oh boy atmosphere, if you're not White you ain't right! The money is NOT competitive at all, you literally have to work yourself to the brink of death just so as a certified welder you can see sixty thousand a year. Which is insane for a experienced aluminum multi certified welder! Ofcourse that salary is truly based on WHO you are, and I'm dead serious about that!!!!!! After a few years of wasting my time & health @ Waco Products Inc, the bad could sincerely go on & on however most people should have cought on by now. It's really NOT a good place to work!

Time Management and Routines (For Management)
Our first reaction to our work load is always: “I feel like I’m doing all the work or there just isn’t enough time”. Step back and look at your routines. Think about the order and switch it around a little or if you don't have routines come up with a daily list. This helps with time management. Assign task and keep daily communication so if you ever have to hold someone a table you can.. Set expectation and what each persons responsibility’s are and let them know you want reply’s daily to your email with completions.

FEELING UNWANED BY COMPANY
I applied, was interviewed, passed drug test and was placed on a case all in one day. Began the homecare shift10p-6a), I worked that night as I said 10p-6a, no sleeping on the job. Looked in on my client q2h, cleaned up his room, bathroom , kitchen, cabinets, appliances. Cleaned as much as I could manage being mindful that the son lived in the basement. I worked with two other ppl. By the second day, the clients Ativan was disappearing, my co-worker left his gold PlayStation wireless remote and I left it in the living rm on the table, told him that it would be there. By the time he came to his shift at 2p; the controller was gone. He became so anxious and wouldn't calm down, offered a Xanax from my prescription bottle; rather than he speaking up and declining the pill, by being uncomfortable and reported to our office which led to me being pulled off a wonderful Hospice case. The next night(Tues), I was informed by my supervisor, management requested that I be placed on the case shift was supposedly from 11a-6a, arrived at the corner of the client's home, only to be asked to "hold off"! Found out family member reported that I was texting her; Especially at her request and canceled the overnight shift. This is all on Thursday, I requested 40+ hours a week, to reduce down to a mere 6 hours. What do you feel I should do now? Btw- the new case starts Wednesday - Today us Friday!!!

Wow, 4 hours per week!
Wow, my hours were cut to 4 hours this weekend!!! I will look at day labor agencies. If I flag for 20 hours per week, two weeks will cover my bills. Damn, when life sucks work more.

Job Search
I'm still looking for part time employment. Thanks

Clerical
I am looking for part-time work from home position. I have been out of the workforce for a very long time due to a disability. I have experience in typing, accounting, payroll, and customer service. My most recent experience is typing, copy and paste, form filling and emailing. As I said it has been a long time since my last employment. I just need someone to give me a chance to prove myself. I would prefer something other than customer service and phones.

I would recommend someone to work at #HormelFoods because
It is a very stable job with great benefits and pay compensation. There is always room for promotion from within with education and hard work. If I had to give one negative about my job and I’m very hesitant to do it because the company helped me raise my family over the last 20 years. The hours required to work are great and never steady so it’s difficult to plan anything outside of work hours because you never know when your leaving. You have a start time but very long hours are nearly a daily occurrence

Accounts Payable
I am looking for either a part time or work from home position to supplement my income.
