If my best friend wanted to work at #SASInstitute I would tell them

I will encourage her to go elsewhere. It's really a dead end job. Managers hire their friends to be managers and they hire their golf buddies so you may not be promoted if you want to be a manager . Managers are given too much power over employees and they pick favorites. SAS is no longer the #1 place to work in the United States, and this is one of the reasons. If you work for them a number of years, you will not be considered competitive in the workplace because you will use proprietary tools, not major tools used by other companies. HR is NOT the place to go if you have an issue with your managers or colleagues! They side with management EVERY single time. I've seen this over and over. Take your skills and talents where you have a real shot at growing and developing while maintaining a competitive edge in the workforce. Don't just take my word for it, check out other opinions and views.
