Laid off for the first time.

I have been working in the healthcare industry for about 13 years and have never experienced a lay off. I was told by the company I could apply for any position that I matched the criteria for. I wanted to stay with the company because I do not take defeat lightly and applied for similar positions as the one that was eliminated. After 27 applications went out I kind of got under the impression that I was getting the shaft. Not one single call back. I worked very hard to get into managerial position and had receive praise from all of my superiors. I took a gamble on a big organization and it did not pan out. In 22 years I have never been laid off and I think my windows of opportunity are slowly closing due to my age. It is a sad state to be in and I feel for anyone who is going through it.

Trying to get rehired at Big Lots

I am previous associate of Big Lots and would like some advice. Being in the retail field and knowing that how the store looks as far and a store looking neat and organized has a lot to do with how a customer perceptions of a store as soon has they walk into the building if they see a disorganized and messy store they will either walk in and turn around or spend as little time as possible in the store. What the customer should find is a neat, they shelves filled with merchandise not empty shelves and very few associates to answer questions. My idea is to have the store reorganized in every department also it would make the customer shopping experience a pleasure just by the simple fact that they can find it. Just going into the store and filling out an app will not do all that will do is to have you come in for 4 hours a week 5 days a week and expect you to do everything from getting the carts in the lot, to setting add, returning all the merchandise from the front of the store and not doing you job. I am trying to get to someone higher up that the store manager to talk to.

My advice to people interested in working at #Xencom as a #Housekeeping ...

I worked at xencom for about a month. They didn't fire me however just stopped scheduling me all because of one family emergency. I would gladly like to be rehired but when I call my boss she never answered so now I'm in search of a new job. The days I did work I loved it it was fantastic

Haters

Should I go to EEOC because two people (manager & supervisor)keep bad mouthing me? I have past reviews stating my excellent past performances with this company. I also thought about contacting company CEO. I only resigned 2mths before reapplying to move back home to take care of my dad. They had nothing available at the time i needed to move. Ive applied for at least 4 positions. I know this company's system and i have the background. This really hurts. I also worked for these people and became supervisor and had to dispute them on a few occasions which I believe is where the HATE is coming from. Really need consoling
