I have been told when someone called on my reference, they were told information that was untrue as well as sharing info that should not have been, as a result I have not heard from any job I have applied for, what should I do?

I have been submitting resumes all month and still nothing, you go to temp agencies and they treat you like crap! If you dont know someone you dont get hired!!! Either you are over qualified or they want to insult you with unrealistic pay!!!!! My spirit is broken i have drained all my resources this is sooooo frustrating...

Marketing yourself has changed forever. No longer can you introduce yourself and have a two way conversation resulting at some point in employment. If you're young, you need credentials and or experience. If your not so young, you need a real good reason why you're applying for a meanial job if you're worth a crap, and a clean criminal record, clean credit record, clean driving record, business references, experience in that field, all to make $10.hr. which you can't live anywhere on.

I am very thankful for the opportunity I was given at Nabors, the management, and supervisors were always first class. The oilfield is a tough working environment but once accepted by your crew it’s like a family, I still maintain contact with supervisors, crew chiefs , and coworkers to this day and can provide contact information.

I have worked steady for the last 32 years. I was at one company for thirty years and the place was full of tension and stress it was time for me to leave. Then I was hired to clean up a mess at a new company and I was hired at a higher pay rate then they paid the girl I replaced. I cleaned up the mess and put new systems in place. Everything was going well till this past September and I was let go due to cutbacks. No negotiation on taking a pay cut. I’ve been looking for a job since then and jobs that I interviewed for I should of gotten but did t. I feel like I am getting bad references fro my first job but I don’t know how to prove if I’m getting bad mouthed from them. I don’t know what to do u have been applying to jobs outside my field I have been on several interviews some which I was more then qualified but hear nothing back. I am super stressed as I am about to run out of unemployment funds and I am the only pay check in my house. Super stressed

Was let go from my old firm since I was not a good fit. They stated they would give me a good reference however, I have learned the person giving the reference is not the person I am instructing my potential firms to talk with. It is however a co-worker that didn't exactly like me and not the person that knew I worked my butt off for the firm. What should I do? Do I have recourse?

Evening. Have a question. If an employment agency would tell you that they can’t get in touch with your references and cannot send you to an interview for placement is this a red flag? My son thinks I am being lied to as he told me most temporary agencies usually do not call your references. I’ve been told by more than one agency that my computer testing is are excellent. Does anybody else think I need to be concerned?

I got this job through a supervisor who worked with me in American ranger and when we lost the jobs he started working with capitol security and recommended me to work with him in a puedto near my house, then he found a better job for him and me I remained in charge of the position as a sergeant and worked 3 years in that position.
